Anita Kouassigan was named on Leading Ladies Africa’s annual list in March 2019 as one of the 100 Most Influential Women in Nigeria. In the first few years of her first venture – Minerva Recruitment Consultants – she was nominated as ‘Professional of The Year’ for The Future Awards at the end of 2006 and went on to win another award: The African Role Model Award Winner and Fellow of the Emblem of Africa conferred by The African Youth Society in June 2009. More recently, Anita positions herself a business catalyst and consultant between London and Lagos. A serial entrepreneur and networker, Anita brings extensive expertise in media, inclusion programming, human capital investment, and corporate social responsibility.
She is the Founder of Investing In Women, a global social impact organisation centred around connecting, empowering, and amplifying women – via the creation of content, her engagements as a speaker, and the hosting of live media events. In addition to her consulting career, Anita is the First Editor and Publisher of Guardian Angels, a monthly insert of The Guardian newspaper (Nigeria) with a focus on CSR, Philanthropy, Social Impact and Entrepreneurship. She is also a sponsorship and advertising broker for The Financial Times Special Reports on Africa.
Anita is a leader and has always enjoyed motivating and helping people, and pushing for change where she feels it’s needed. Her BSc degree in Politics (University of Bristol), and Post-Graduate Degree in Law and the Legal Practice Course (College of Law, London) have certainly provided her with ideal foundations to engage in projects that ultimately make a social impact on society.
