CHAIRMANABIODUN OLAWALE-COLE

Abiodun is an avid rugby fan passionate about growing Rugby league in Nigeria. Abiodun played 1st team Rugby League at Loughborough University, American football for North of England students and Derby university before returning to London to play rugby union for Mill Hill and London Nigeria rugby teams.

In his free time, he plays touch rugby and flag American football in Lagos Nigeria whilst working full time in consumer market research. In his capacity of chairman of the NRLA Abiodun is tasked with steering the team in the right direction by growing Rugby league in Nigeria and putting the national team on the radar on a world stage.

VICE CHAIRMAN & G.M.ADE ADEBISI

Ade Adebisi General Manager and Vice President of Nigeria Rugby League is an ex professional rugby league player who has made appearances for teams such as the London Broncos, Skolars, Whitehaven, Featherstone Rovers, Doncaster and Hull FC.  Ade’s previous experience had been in senior management at Wilson James UK responsible for securing vital contracts,a key driver at Tobat Industries Lagos as operations director and a founding partner of Provectus Global resources. He is also the U.K ambassador of the sickle cell society.

CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICERSESUGH YAJI

Sesugh Yaji is a director in one of Nigeria’s fastest growing renewable energy companies. With proficient skills in management, and inborn talent gained from his experience in the construction industry as a real estate developer.

Sesugh brings a seamless process to every field he works in. An eye for detail and knowing the “key thing” combined with passion and charisma make him an avid developer of businesses.

He has skills and strategies in developing ideas and has the vision to make Nigeria one of the major hosts of the rugby tournament on the globe.

DIRECTOR OF STRATEGYMICHAEL OGUNBIYI

Michael is a former rugby player with over 20 years of experience.

A co-founder of the University of London Rugby League team in 1991/92 and played Rugby leave for 2+ years before setting up a Rugby Union club (London Tribes) which competed in the Middlesex leagues.

A partner at the boutique investment bank, Whitehall Capital Partners Ltd, responsible for the risk management and financial advisory business as well as the overall operations of the company. He also serves on the Board of EDC Securities Limited ( a subsidiary of Ecobank Transnational Incorporated).

Michael is also an owner of a restaurant and lounge bar Escobar in Lagos.

A technology and business consultant, MD Cityng Group.

A former Rugby player who is a passionate rugby administrator and founder of Lagos Island Rugby Football Club; and Chairman of Kings Rugby Club.

He is the current Chairman of Lagos State Rugby Association

DIRECTOR OF RUGBYOLUWASEGUN BENSON

Oluwasegun Benson is the current Director of Rugby.

A retired rugby player who played with clubs like the British Airways WINGSPAN, Crawley Sussex, East London Rugby club Div 2, Red Sox, in Stratford, Racing RFC. Former coach of Lagos RFC.

The founder of Rugby league club Lagos Mariners RLC and coaches several primary schools in Nigeria.

He is now currently the CEO Phosgard Fumigants Nig ltd an Environmental company based in Lagos, Nigeria.  Brings a wealth of experience and passion for Rugby League to grow in Nigeria.

LEGAL & COMMERCIAL ADVISORDANIEL BIDDER-POTTS

Daniel has played 1st team Rugby League whilst at university. Before starting his move into the legal sector, Daniel spent several years at reserve level with Rugby Union teams such as Northampton Saints & London Welsh before a neck injury cut his career short.

Since then, Daniel has worked in the education and development side of rugby before gaining a 1st class honours Law LLB degree at Liverpool John Moores University.

Utilising his city law firm experience, Daniel covers the administration of rules, regulations, safeguarding, judiciary and generally keeping policies in line with Rugby League International Federation (RLIF) regulations.

Nigeria Rugby League is please to announce Lashley Oladigbolu as the Content Manger.

A Radio Presenter and producer for Mid-Morning Show on Broadcating Corporation of Oyo State, (BCOS) in Ibadan, Nigeria and later joined Voice of Africa Radio, London and Goal.com (Nigeria) as Sports Presenter and Writer respectively in United Kingdom.

Lashley Oladigbolu is an editor for KBJOJO.com – publicity & events marketing blog services.

He holds sway the position of the Acting President of Nigeria Union of Journalists Europe (NUJE)
